Basalt has been widely recognized internationally for its unique characteristics of wear resistance, low water absorption, low conductivity, high compressive strength, low crush value, strong corrosion resistance and excellent asphalt adhesion.
These characteristics make basalt perform well in terms of withstanding heavy traffic and harsh environments, making it an ideal material for building infrastructure such as highways and railways.
Jaw crusher is one of the important equipment in basalt processing. It can effectively crush, shape and screen basalt. In order to better complete the processing of basalt, jaw crusher needs to be used in conjunction with some other equipment to achieve a more efficient and energy-saving production method.
Basalt is mostly black, dark brown or dark green, and is hard in nature, with a Mohs hardness of 5-7. The compacted ones have a high compression strength, which can be as high as 300MPa. Therefore, only equipment with strong crushing force, strong wear resistance can ensure production, efficiency, and benefits.
The crushing equipment used to process basalt is jaw crusher, cone crusher, impact sand making machine, etc., and the production plan is tailored. After the material is crushed by the jaw crusher for the first stage, it enters the transfer silo, and is sent to the impact crusher through a belt conveyor for secondary crushing.
The crushed material enters the vibrating screen for screening, and the unqualified material will be sent back to the transfer silo for further crushing. The 5-40mm material is processed by the E-YK vibrating feeder into the VSI centrifugal impact crusher. After the processed material is screened by two vibrating screens, it will eventually produce finished aggregates of different specifications.
